32-HOUR SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD SUPERVISOR

Course Information:

This course must be provided to all employees in the construction industry in the confines of New York City, New York City Department of Building regulates this by rule under the city’s administrative law. The course was instituted by NYC as a result of both OSHA’s Fatality reports and fatalities and injuries that have occurred in NYC. Local Law 52, was established to train experienced workers who will erect, dismantle modify or repair suspended scaffolds.

The goal of this course is to supervise the installation or use of a Suspended Scaffold in New York City, an individual must successfully complete this 32 hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course. Help participants realize that the use of scaffold is an important part of worker safety and that Fall Protection, Struck- By and electrocution, and collapse are common hazards related to workers that use scaffold. This course will train workers on the safe and proper installation, removal and modifications as is related to scaffolding. Upon completion, students will receive a photo ID card, valid for 4 years.

To continue to supervise & use suspended scaffolds in New York City, the designated suspended scaffold supervisor must successfully complete this 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Refresher Course four years following completion of the 32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course & every four years thereafter. Upon completion, students will receive a photo ID card, valid for 4 years. 

16-HOUR SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD USER

Course Description:

This course must be provided to all employees in the construction industry in the confines of New York City, New York City Department of Building regulates this by rule under the city’s administrative law. The course was instituted by NYC as a result of both OSHA’s Fatality reports and fatalities and injuries that have occurred in NYC. Local Law 52, was established to train experienced workers who will use or work on a Suspended Scaffold in New York City, an individual must successfully complete 16 hours of user training .

To continue to work and use suspended scaffolds in New York City, the worker must successfully complete this 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Refresher Course four years following completion of the 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User Course & every four years thereafter. Upon completion, students will receive a photo ID card, valid for 4 years.
