The NYC Department of Building has released a new verification system for site safety training (SST) for workers and supervisors. All DOB-approved course providers, including Safety Dynamics, must comply with using this new platform to issue NYC DOB Training Connect SST identification cards. The new cards have an all new universal design for workers and supervisors. They have also been designed with near-field communication (NFC) technology which allows for validation to be done with a single tap from any phone.
The NYC DOB Training Connect application is only accessible to DOB-approved course providers.
The official NYC DOB Training Connect card will replace all previously issued SST ID cards from any course provider. DOB expects the transition to be completed by April 2022.
